Some tripadvisor reviews
Great trip and very well organized! The bus trip was comfortable and nicely air conditioned. Andres and Adriana were amazing guides!!There are lots of souvenirs you can buy, a farmer’s market, plenty of food/water to buy, and nice bathrooms. Dress light, comfortable (it was 38C today!) and bring a fan!
10/10 would go again!

Our tour guide Andres was very knowledgeable and we were able to see many different parts of Montserrat. We enjoyed the free time that we were given to explore on our own with the hike and visiting the shops. There are incredible views. We would highly recommend visiting Montserrat if you have a half day free.Written July 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great experience!
Getting around was easy with the smaller group and smaller tour vehicle.
Ori was a great tour guide- very warm and welcoming. He was entertaining and knowledgeable, showed concern for the group, and was respectful of all aspects of the monastery.
We went in July, so a half day trip was enough- we were not interested in hiking in the heat. But if I had the chance to go back in cooler weather, I would love more time to do the various hikes.
My only suggestion is that I wish the instructions in the tour description had been more clear about where to meet- they were too vague. When we arrived there was no red umbrella, and we wandered around a bit. The meeting location is at the corner of Placeta de Vicenç Albert Ballester and Passeig de Luis Companys, the long street along the park. You will see large tour buses queing up further down the street.Written July 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Ori was amazing!! He made the trip to Montserrat so awesome and fun. He made jokes and it was very enjoyable. He was also very knowledgeable about the mountains and the area. If you go to Barcelona, you have to take the Monserrat half day tour with Barcelona Local Experience. The tour guides, Andres, Brian and Angie were so funny and entertaining. They told us the history of Barcelona and Monserrat in an amusing way. They are rock stars!! We really recommend this tour.Written July 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were accompanied by Brian, Andres and Angie on this trip and it was a blast. Brian had a VERY entertaining presentation during the trip to Montserrat, when we learned a lot about Catalan history through bouts of laughter. Once we arrived, we were assigned to Angie’s group and she provided us with a lot of useful tips and interesting information about Montserrat and the monastery. Andres made sure the trip went smoothly throughout and was a great guide.
The trip was well organized and it was a great balance between organized activities and free time. I highly recommend this and it was a great value for money.Written July 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Andres was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and gave good suggestions as to what to do our free time. We spent just the right amount of time in Montserrat. And we followed Andres’ advice and tried the truffle cheese. That cheese with the bread the.Monks make….delicious. Great trip.
